Ronald K. Dunnings

Ronald Keith Dunnings, 82, widower of Leona Marion (Venable) Dunnings, of Staunton, died Sunday, February 7, 2021, at his residence.

He was born April 11, 1938, in Staunton a son of the late Purcell S. and Fleeta H.M. (Jones) Dunnings.

Mr. Dunnings was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Prior to retirement, he was employed by the U.S. Postal Service.

He was a member of Augusta Street United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, Keith Marcel Dunnings; and three brothers, Jimmy, Leland, and Garland.

Family members include two daughters, Phyllis Naomi Dunnings and Karen Michelle Dunnings-Bayard, both of Staunton; two grandsons, Andre` Dunnings and Alonzo Edmonds-Bayard; six great grandchildren, Criana Dunnings (Jakkar), Drea Dunnings, Tre`dynn Bayard, Tyleah Bayard, Topanga Bayard, and Tayvin Bayard; a great, great grandson, Tristan Harris; and Christina Roberts.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021, in Fairview Cemetery by the Rev. John Benson.

Friends and family may pay their respects from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021, in the Henry Funeral Home.
