Ronnie Lee Shumaker

Ronnie Lee Shumaker, 70, husband of Brenda Eckard Shumaker, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Ronnie was born on August 14, 1951 in Harrisonburg to the late Wilmer Harrison and Allie Christine Shifflett Shumaker, Sr. He was a former member of Glossbrenner United Methodist Church since 2001. He loved to work with hands, was outgoing, and loved meeting new people. In addition to his beloved wife, whom he wed on March 10, 1973, he is survived by his son, Jason (Brenda) Shumaker; his brother, Owen Shumaker; his sisters, Linda McCafferty. Allie Conley, and Betty Jean Shumaker; and his two special grandsons, Brandon and Cody. He is preceded in death by a brother, Wilmer "Sonny" Harrison Shumaker, Jr. and a brother-in-law, Jeff Redifer. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM at Henry Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Parnassus United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Lester Kennedy officiating. Serving as active pallbearers will be Jason, Brandon, and Cody Shumaker, Bobby Dodson, Dwight Swope, and Fred Bowers. Arrangements are being handled by Henry Funeral Home.
