Ruth M. Fox Stuarts Draft-- Ruth M. Fox, 82, of 9 Spring Ridge Drive died Monday morning, December 3, at Augusta Health. Born July 11, 1930 in Lima, Ohio, Ruth and her husband, William W. Fox, moved to Virginia in 2004. Ruth was a dedicated member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, and served the Methodist church throughout her life. She was committed to quietly serving others, in her career with the Cerebral Palsy Clinic of Lima, Ohio, her administrative work at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lima, and her work with Hospice in three cities, including the Hospice of the Shenandoah. Ruth was active with Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity in Ohio, served as a teacher's aide, and as Director of Volunteers at the Oxford, Ohio Senior Citizen Center. She faithfully worked with Home Instead in Augusta County until a few months before her death. She is survived by her husband, Bill, of 62 years, her daughter, Pamela Fox, son-in-law, Dan Layman, and loving sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces in Ohio. A celebration of life service will be held Friday, December 7, at 11:00am at Calvary United Methodist Church in Stuarts Draft. The family will receive friends at the church between 9:00 and 10:30am. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A memorial will also be held in Lima, Ohio, on December 21 at 10am in Trinity United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hospice of the Shenandoah. Henry Funeral Home is serving the family.
