Sally Ann Jones

SALLY H. JONESSTAUNTON, VA… Sally Ann (Hawks) Jones, 85, wife of Irving H. Jones, of Staunton, died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at King’s Daughters’ Community Health and Rehab Center. She was born July 24, 1932, in High Point, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Grady and Annie (Crater) Hawks. In addition to her husband, family members include two sons, Carlton L. Jones and wife, Bobbi, of Attleboro, Massachusetts and Darryl W. Jones of Staunton; “a special son”, Allen Cupp of Staunton; two sisters, Virginia H. Sensabaugh of Staunton and Shirley Schecter and husband, Jordon, of Blairsville, GA; and five grandchildren, Sherri Jones of Florida, Joshua, Robin, Jodie, and Rachel Jones, all of Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James Sensabaugh and a nephew, Brad Sensabaugh. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2017 in Thornrose Cemetery by Chaplain Murphy Terry. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017 in the Henry Funeral Home.
