Sandra Dawn Holsinger

SANDRA K. HOLSINGER STAUNTON, VA Sandra Dawn (Kerr) Holsinger, 66, of Staunton, went to be with her Lord Friday, October 9, 2015, in the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born September 14, 1949, in Staunton, a daughter of Edith (Critzer) Kerr and the late Jack Kerr. She was employed as a support enforcement specialist for Child Support Services. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was deeply involved with mission work and Operation Christmas Child. She dedicated her life to others. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Tricia and Doug Thompson of Staunton; a son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Carrie Holsinger of Staunton; her grandchildren, who knew her as "Memom" and who were the love of her life, Zachary Thompson, Ethan Holsinger, Xander Thompson, Lucas Holsinger, Jack Holsinger, and Jacob Holsinger; two brothers, Keith Kerr of Staunton and Logan Kerr and wife, Cindy, of Preston, MD; two sisters, Carolyn Miller of Staunton and Nancy Kimble of Stuarts Draft; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2015, at First Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Steve Traylor. A reception will follow the service in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, c/o Operation Christmas Child, 406 W. Frederick Street, Staunton, VA 24401. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
