RAPHINE, VA… Sharon Kay (Harper) Lunsford, 71, wife of Samuel Lunsford, Sr., of Steeles Fort Road, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at her residence. She was born September 14, 1945 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Charles and Beulah (DePriest) Harper. Sharon attended Irish Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a beautician, carried mail in Vesuvius, and was a CNA for home health. She babysat, loved all animals, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband of nearly 47 years, family members include a son, Samuel Lunsford, Jr. and friend, Amy White; daughter, Polly V. Clark and husband, Randy; three grandchildren, Chancey, Michaela, and Ivy; brother, Gordon Harper; sister, Amelia Mess; a brother-in-law, Clyde Ralston; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Ralston. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 2017 in the Henry Funeral Home.
