STAUNTON, VA Shirley (Dean) Crouch, 75, of Staunton, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2014. She was born on March 3, 1939 in Augusta County, the daughter of Elwood B. and Hazel (Wilberger) Dean. Prior to her retirement, she was a registered nurse. She was also a member of Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, Nathan Crouch; a son, Wayne Clark, Jr. and his wife, Gerri, of Staunton; two daughters, Sharon Moore and her husband, Mitch, of Stuarts Draft, and Karen Vereen and her husband, Russell, of Pawley's Island, SC; two stepchildren, Aaron Creech and Syble Creech of Taylors, SC; five grandchildren, Mitch Moore, Jr., James Franklin Moore, III, Wade Dallas Clark, Jett Wayne Clark, and Madeline K. Creech; two great grandchildren, Kali Dae Moore, and Mac Archer Moore; a brother, John M. Dean and his wife, Charlotte, of Staunton; a sister-in-law, Nancy L. Dean of Westminster, MD; two brothers-in-law, Bob Benson of Christiansburg, VA and James G. Crouch, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC; an aunt, Billie Ann Spitler; an uncle, Johnny Wilberger, both of Staunton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Elwood B. "Buddy" Dean, Jr., and a sister, Bonnie Benson. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m., Monday, June 30, 2014 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jack Wilkers, Pastor of Third Presbyterian Church of Staunton.
