Shirley Ann Hagy

SHIRLEY F. HAGY VERONA, VA Shirley Ann (Fitzgerald) Hagy, 73, wife of Clyde Edward Hagy, of193 Skyview Circle, left her earthly home and entered her heavenly home on Monday, January 5, 2015. She was born March 23, 1941, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Steve Henry and Sylvia Irie (Bradds) Fitzgerald. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Hagy was employed by Genesco with 29 years of service. After retiring, she went to cosmetology school and had her own beauty shop at home. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who dearly loved her family. She had a big heart and was a caring person who touched many lives. She was a member of the Good News Ministry Church. In addition to her husband, family members include a daughter, Connie Graves of Verona; four brothers, Steve, James and Nancy, Robert and wife Betty, and Perry Fitzgerald; a sister, Rebecca Fitzgerald; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Hewitt and Nancy Hagy; a brother-in-law, Columbus Hagy and wife, Shirley Hagy; a grandchild, Rebecca White and husband Brandon; two great grandchildren, Wyatt Christian and Hunter Blair White; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry A. Fitzgerald; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Fitzgerald and Ruth Fitzgerald; two brothers-in-law, Robert Hagy and Ronnie Hewitt. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2015, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Gregory Miller. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015, in the funeral home. The family would like to express special thanks to her hospice nurse, Joey Mooneyham.
