STAUNTON, VA Stanley Leon Price, 80, of Lee Jackson Highway, Staunton, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in Augusta Health. He was born on June 16, 1934 in New Market, a son of the late Grover and Mildred Price. Mr. Price was a veteran in the U.S. Army and served overseas as a tank mechanic. He was a truck driver for Smith's Transfer and retired after 18 years of service. During his career he was also a contractor and developer. In addition to building numerous homes, he also built two mobile home parks which are still in business today, Troy Hill Trailer Park in Verona and Mobile City in Brands Flat. He also remodeled Patch's Trailer Park in Waynesboro. He was also instrumental in the redevelopment of the Blackburn addition in Staunton. He was a member of the Staunton Moose Lodge #1635 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #680 Staunton. He is survived by his only son and daughter-in-law, Troy M. and Juli P. Price of Fishersville, and a very special friend, Patsy Reed of Staunton. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Evelyn, Marlene, Oscar and Marvin. He was the last member of his immediate family. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Jr. Rowe, Jerry Parker, Jim Hinton, and Billy Cason. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2015 in Henry Funeral Home. The family wishes to express special thanks to his friends that helped keep his and the family's spirits up. They also wish to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Augusta Health and the second floor of Envoy at Staunton for all they did during his illness.
