Stella Marguerite Sharp

STELLA M. SHARP STAUNTON, VA Stella Marguerite (Maybush) Sharp, 86, widow of Howard Sharp, died Monday, March 2, 2015, in Emeritus of Staunton. She was born on October 3, 1928, a daughter of the late George W. and Alice (Tillman) Maybush. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas, Leonard, Ernest and George Maybush; and five sisters, Josephine McLaughlin, Grace Cook, Ruby Bartley, Frances Tazelaar and Janet Sheets. Family include two sons, Richard Gibbs of Staunton and Howard Sharp of Verona; five daughters, Wanda Anderson of Black Duck, MN, Brenda Stover of Staunton, Patricia Koiner of Swoope, Susan Jones of Staunton and Carolyn Crosby of Churchville; a brother, Robert Maybush of Staunton; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor David Anderson. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Aaron Jones, Todd Gibbs, Eric Gibbs, Curt and Bryan Anderson, Trampus Armentrout, Matt Johnston, and Timothy Wimer. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Nicole Robbins, Samantha Gibbs, Michelle Stover, Stephanie and Melissa Koiner, Amanda Jones, Brakke Crosby-Wells, Amber Johnston, and Brittany Baber. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 in the funeral home.
