Theda Paxton Raudenbush

THEDA P. RAUDENBUSH STAUNTON, VA Theda Paxton Raudenbush, 94, of Staunton passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014. The daughter of Nema A. and John G. Paxton, Theda was a lifelong resident of Staunton. An avid gardener and decorator, Theda was admired for her creativity and skill for making everything around her beautiful. She was blessed with a deep-seated compassion for all living things and a quick wit that kept her family and friends laughing with her. She often said that laughing was one of the healthiest things a person could do and she was very healthy indeed. Theda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert J. Raudenbush, her parents, her brother, John G. Paxton, Jr., and her sister Regina P. Ham. Family surviving to celebrate her life are her daughter, Paula Raudenbush of Fredericksburg; one niece, Cindy H. Glenn and her husband Don of Waynesboro; one nephew, Michael Coiner and his wife Maryrose of Massachusetts; two great nieces; three great nephews; and two great-great nieces. There will be a graveside service in Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 11:00 a. m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of your choice.
