THELMA J. FIX WAYNESBORO, VA Thelma B. (Jordan) Fix, 75, widow of Herbert Carlton Fix of 312 Link Road, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at her residence. She was born May 8, 1938, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Hugh L. and Ruby (Woods) Jordan. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Westwood Elementary School. Mrs. Fix was a member of Little River Church of the Brethren. Family members include a son, Carlton Eugene Fix of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Christa Flynn of Culpeper and Kayla Bartley of Waynesboro; three great grandchildren, Hailey Mejia of Arizona, Faith Flynn of Culpeper, and McKinley Cloonan of Waynesboro; and three sisters, Maxine Gordon of Fort Defiance, Michelle Downs of Weyers Cave, and Phyllis Sprouse of Waynesboro. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Jordan. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, in Thornrose Cemetery by the Rev. Neil McLaughlin. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home prior to the graveside service. Active pallbearers will be Bobby Gordon, Steve Downs, Brian Tuttle, Donnie Ownby, Jim DeWitt, and Travis Ritchie.
