THELMA G. DEVITO STAUNTON, VA Thelma (Gibson) Rohr DeVito, 99, widow of Thomas DeVito, of 1410 North Augusta Street, died Friday, July 20, 2012, in King's Daughters' Community Health and Rehab Center. She was born March 29, 1913, in Staunton a daughter of the late John B. and Ida (Childress) Gibson. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a charter member of Parkway Wesleyan Church. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, John Allen Rohr. Family members include, two grandchildren, Thomas Burke Rohr of Charlottesville and Cynthia Swisher and her husband, Larry Guy, Sr. of Thomasville, North Carolina; a step-granddaughter, Drema Wood Hagler of Lexington, North Carolina; two great grandchildren, Tiffany Swisher Kindley and Buster Swisher, Jr.; two great, great grandchildren, David Reed Praytor and Trinity Grace Praytor; a step-great grandchild, McKinley Lee Hagler; and special friends, Jeffrey Newton and Barbara Bonney. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012, in Augusta Memorial Park by Rev. Barry Lawson. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012, in the Henry Funeral Home.
