Theodore Junior Stuart

THEODORE J. STUART STAUNTON, VA… Theodore Junior Stuart, 84, widower of Charlene Rebecca (Walker) Stuart, of Staunton, died Monday, May 29, 2017 at his daughter’s residence. He was born May 25, 1933 in Staunton, a son of the late Virginia (Stuart) Brown. Mr. Stuart was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Prior to retirement, Mr. Stuart was employed by Allied Van Lines and he also cooked for camps. Theodore was a member of the Waynesboro Seventh-day Adventist Church and Augusta-Staunton VFW Post #2216.   Family members include three sons, Garry Stuart (Gina), Tyrone Stuart (Sandra), and Kim Stuart (Gail), all of Staunton; three daughters, Linda Johnson (Michael), Susan Brown (Charles), and Patricia Stuart (JB), all of Staunton; 47 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 20 great, great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard S. Stuart; a daughter, Judy A. Stuart; and a son-in-law, Daniel Simms. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, in Mt. Salem Baptist Church by the Elder Thomas Johnson. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens with military rites given by Augusta-Staunton VFW Post #2216. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at his daughter’s residence, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown (Susan), 514 B. Street, Staunton.
