THOMAS H. GARLAND LYNDHURST, VA Thomas Hunter "Tommy" Garland, 72, husband of Bonnie (Wheeler) Garland of 386 Mt. Torrey Road, Lyndhurst, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at his residence. He was born January 20, 1939 in Staunton, a son of the late Forrest G. and Anne (Grim) Garland. Prior to retirement, Mr. Garland was a horse trainer. In addition to his wife of 50 years, family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tracy S. and Joanna Garland of Lyndhurst and Tommy R. and Dawn Garland of Richmond; five grandchildren; and friends, Jimmy and Vickie Smith, Debbie and Junior Glass, and William Deaver. A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. today, Friday, June 10, 2011 at Thornrose Cemetery by Pastor Ronnie Harris. Tommy requested there be no viewing or visitation.
