THOMAS R. MILLER STAUNTON - Thomas Richard Miller, 73, of Staunton, went to be with his Lord at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012 in Richmond surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Ann (Blackwell) Miller. He was born on June 4, 1939 in Timberville, son of the late Rudolph B. and Hazel (Spitzer) Miller. Mr. Miller was employed by Walker Manufacturing and Kawneer Incorporated, before retiring from Hershey Chocolate of Virginia. He was a member of Rader Lutheran Church. Survivors include his daughter, Carole L. Miller of Harrisonburg; his adored granddaughter, Bridgette R. Miller, who was the joy of his life; two brothers, Douglas L. Miller of Timberville and Lowell B. Miller of Harrisonburg; a sister, Anna V. Jenkins of Timberville; and a number of beloved members of his wife, Brenda's family. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Kenneth Price. Interment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Michael Jenkins, Douglas Miller, Jr., Brent Miller, Wesley Miller, Chris Miller, and Chad Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends attending the service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p. m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Henry Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
