Vera Mae (Allen) Fabig

BRACEY, VA…. Vera Mae (Allen) Fabig, 77, wife of Horst Fabig, of Bracey, died Sunday, November 20, 2016 at VCU Community Memorial Hospital. She was born January 21, 1939, in Montebello, a daughter of the late Roy and Flora (Smiley) Allen. She was a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church. Prior to retirement, she was employed as an RN by Central State. In addition to her husband, family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Utt and Jon Merrill of Dinwiddie; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Mary Allen of Stuarts Draft;  a beloved granddaughter, Emma Merrill; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in the Henry Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Michael Day. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in the funeral home.
