VERNA D. KETCHERSIDE VERONA, VA Verna Lorene (Davidson) Ketcherside, 92, widow of Rev. Leonard Alvis Ketcherside, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at her daughter's residence. She was born on March 27, 1920, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to the late Edward and Alta (Head) Davidson. She was an active church member at First Church of the Nazarene in Staunton. Family members include five daughters and three son-in-laws, Carolyn and Bob Anson of Verona, Diana Noland of Mt. Jackson, Loretta Chambers of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Ruth and Dave Bosher of Richmond, and Denise and Billy Johnson of Front Royal; two brothers, Charles Davidson and David Davidson; three sisters, Verla Davis, Mary Lou Ward, and Laura Marie Arnold; fourteen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 68 years, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Davidson and an infant brother; and two sisters, Velma Brown and Veda Mayse. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 in First Church of the Nazarene by the Rev. David Bailey. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisonburg. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon Saturday morning at the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Shenandoah, P. O.
