VIRGINIA J. KING STAUNTON, VA… Virginia Alice (Johnson) King, 78, widow of William G. King, of Staunton, died Saturday, November 5, 2016 in the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born July 24, 1938 in Nelson County, a daughter of the late James Owen and Nannie Bell (Cash) Johnson. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Genesco-L-Grief. Family members include a son, Arthur L. Huntley, Jr.; a daughter, Debbie Huntley Sheets; two step-sons, Carl Wayne King and David Russell King; a step-daughter, Margaret Rankin; a sister, Mary E. Groah; five grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; five great, great grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; a number of step-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Georgina Huntley Sydens Stricker; a step-son, Larry Lee King; a brother, John Cyrus Johnson. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
