WANDA L. WATSON STAUNTON, VA Wanda O. Lane Watson, 94, widow of Henry Thomas "Hank" Watson, Jr., departed this life on Friday, October 23, 2015, in Augusta Health Hospice. She was born November 13, 1920 in Oakdale, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Corbett Smith and Artie Mae (Duncan) Reynolds. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Watson was employed by Suntrust Bank and Western State Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Staunton and a former member of AARP and Business Professional Women's Club. (BPWC) She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Carl and Janet Lane of St. Louis, Missouri, Tom and Sun Lane of Haymarket and Bob Lane of Haymarket; four daughters, Linda Berry and Patricia Hughes of Fredericksburg, Carol Lane of Haymarket, and Cheryl Lane of Staunton; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two nephews, Mike and Steve; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Bonnie Reynolds of Harriman, Tennessee; and a special cat, Mr. Pickles. Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, are her daughter, Esther Lane; a sister, Carley Maxine Reynolds; and a brother, Chester Lee Reynolds. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Steve Traylor. Entombment will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 406 West Frederick Street, Staunton, VA 24401 or to Augusta SPCA, 33 Archery Lane, Staunton, VA 24401.
