WILLIAM FLOYD AREHART MIDDLEBROOK, VA… William Floyd Arehart, 87, of 385 Campbells Hollow Road and Sandston, VA, husband of Peggy Jean (Logan) Arehart for 62 years, died Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center, Mechanicsville. He was born November 12, 1928, in Middlebrook, a son of the late William Russell and Launa (Clemmer) Arehart. Mr. Arehart was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict. Floyd was a longtime farmer and was also a longtime member of the Riverheads FFA. He loved showing horses, was an avid hunter and enjoyed going to Nags Head to Fish. He and his wife loved to travel out to the West Coast. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Arehart. A graveside burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens with a memorial service following at 2 p.m. in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. JoAnn Bunn. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Graveside rites will be conducted by Augusta-Staunton VFW Post #2216. Active pallbearers will be J.L. Clemmer, Larry Clemmer, Thomas Tracy, James Middleton, Thomas Palmore, Eddie Bartley, and Gary Bunn. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Clemmer, David Lotts, Eddie Bartley, Larry Cooper, Donald Ritchie, Gene Sensabaugh, and Dr. James Layton.
