William T. Jones

Staunton, VA… William Thomas Jones, 49, husband of Dana G. Jones, of Staunton, died Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born November 16, 1968 in Staunton to Sarah (Johnson) Jones and the late Fred L. Jones. He was a chef and graduated from Cordon Bleu. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, William Thomas Jones, Jr. and Christopher Izziaha Barney; a step-son, Dillon Shifflett; two step-daughters, Hannah Shifflett and Carlene Kier; three brothers, Charles Martin Jones, Teddy Jones, and Paul Smith; five sisters, Hattie Carpenter, Deborah Strother, Joyce L. Jones, Dinky Smith and Rochelle Smith; seven grandchildren; four special nephews, Lance Crawford, Devante Santi, Brandon Scott, and Ryan Scott; two special nieces, Brittany Jones and Sarah Jones; and numerous other nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Fred L. Jones, Jr. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Elaine Rose. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
