WILLIAM H. WEEKS STAUNTON, VA William "Bill" Hassell Weeks, 83, widower of Lucille Weeks, his wife of 47 years, of Staunton, died Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Envoy of Staunton. He was born September 23, 1930, in Floyd County, a son of the late Maynard and Artie (Hurt) Weeks. Bill retired from Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center. He was a former member of Fishersville Baptist Church and also attended Linden Heights Baptist Church. Bill loved groundhog hunting, cutting firewood, and enjoyed camping. Immediate family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Lisa Weeks of Waynesboro and David and Janice Weeks of Grottoes; five grandchildren, Heather Weeks Lawson, Travis Weeks and wife, Katie, Nathan Weeks, Lexi Weeks, and Laryn Weeks; one great grandchild, Matthew Weeks; and a sister, Arlene Szekely of Ohio. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2014, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Larry Black. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Honorary pallbearers include co-workers from Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center. The family will receive friends Sunday evening at the home of David and Janice Weeks, 3454 Eastside Hwy, Grottoes, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Central and Western Virginia Chapter, 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
