Aaron Hawley, 45, passed away on October 2, 2025, in Staunton, VA.

He was born on October 17, 1979, in Santa Ana, California.

He was an avid sports fan and loved watching his favorite teams, the Washington Redskins, Washington Nationals, UVA Wahoos, and the Riverheads Gladiators play. He also enjoyed being with family and friends. He was employed at Burger King on Richmond Road for 25 years.

He is survived by his father, Garry Lee Hawley; his brothers, Christopher Hawley (Ashlyn) and Chad Hawley (fiancé, Wendy); his sisters, Brittany Johnson and Virginia Mitchell (Perry); his stepsisters, Tiffany Carr (Steven) and Dorothy Absher; his nieces and nephews, Destiny Hawley, Kaelyn Hawley, Braedyn Hawley, JayLynn Hawley, Haylee Hawley, Abigail Mitchell, Nicholas Mitchell, Winston Mitchell, Nathaniel Hawley, Averi Hawley, and Lance Hawley; his special friend, Marsha Hays; his maw-maw, Frances Hailey, and his dogs, Benji and Blackey.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Marie Tanner Hawley; his daughter, Alyssa Grepps Hawley; and his sister, Christina Marie Hawley.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.

The family would like to give special thanks to his Burger King family and friends, Dr. Ranzini at the Wound Care Clinic, and Staunton Post Acute Health and Rehab.
