Adam Wayne Gregory, 43, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at his residence in Staunton.

He was born on December 12, 1982, in Staunton to Rocky Wayne Gregory and Brenda Sue Myers Depriest.

For nine years, Adam worked as a salesman for Frito-Lay.

A proud alumnus of Riverheads High School, he left a lasting mark on the school’s athletic history. He was a member of the Riverheads football team and led them to a state championship in 2000 and was named an Allstate player in 2001. In addition to football, he excelled in wrestling, earning the title of State Heavyweight Wrestling Champion for Riverheads in 2002.

Outside of work and athletics, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time fishing, playing pool, bowling, and riding his motorcycle.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Heather Alison Daniel Gregory; his son, Jacob Edward Gregory; his stepsister, Brenda Gail Bryant; his niece, Ariana Owens; and his nephews, Andrew Owens, and Justin and Jordan Fowler.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda Sue Gregory Fowler; and his stepmother, Lanora Bryant Gregory.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Cherryvale United Methodist Church in Staunton with Reverend Jonathan Greer officiating
