STAUNTON - Agatha Mae (Comer) Brown, 71, wife of Jerry W. Brown, Sr., passed away on June 30, 2022 at Augusta Health.
Agatha was born on June 26, 1951 in Harrisonburg to the late Melvin D. and Mary Magdalene (Shifflett) Comer.
Agatha loved the NY Yankees, cooking, and flower gardening but she especially loved being a mother, wife, and sister.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Jerry W. Brown, Jr. (Angel Lee), sister, Bonnie Moore (William); her grandchildren, Damien Brown and Katlyn Brown; her brothers-in-law, Don Acord and Joe Cannaday; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her furry friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Delores Esposito, Faye Acord, and Oletha Cannaday.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Henry Funeral home Chapel by Reverend Clay Sterrett. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
