Allen Rochford Martin, 88, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2024 in Fairfield, Virginia. 

He was born on May 9, 1935, in Pine Grove, CA to the late Durwood Rochford and Frankie Mae Allen Martin.

Allen was a retired Lt. Col, and served in the United States Air Force. He was a helicopter pilot that served in Vietnam. He was known for his love of traveling and flying, traits that brought him much joy throughout his life. An avid member of the NRA and a strong Republican. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Allen and Pam enjoyed traveling, especially with their group of friends called the "Tribe". He and his wife also attended Old Providence ARP Church.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Davis Bowling Martin; his children, David Allen Martin and his wife, Margarita; Kelly Colleen Martin and her spouse, Stephanie Van de Weghe; his sister, Diane Williams; his grandson, David Allen Martin, II; his granddaughters, Marguerite Lisl Carter and Sarah Alizabeth Martin; his great-grandson, Jay Patrick Carter; his great-granddaughters, Morgan Paige Martin, Riley Claire Carter, Ava Reese Carter, and Emma Blake Carter. He is also survived by his stepsons, Robert Grimm II and Benjamin Adam Grimm; his stepdaughter, Roben Summers; his six step-grandchildren, Skylar Capps, Christopher Lobdell, Jacob Adam Grimm, Michael Aaron Wyatt, Isaac Adam Grim, and Kylee Ann Grimm; his step-great-grandson, Carson Tate Lapps; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Stephen and Mike Martin, and his brother-in-law, Junior Williams.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Henry Funeral Home Chapel in Staunton with the Reverend Patrick Malphrus officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Interment will take place with military rites at Lakewood Shawnee Cemetery in Warsaw, Missouri at a later date and Reser Funeral Home will be handling those arrangements.
