Barbara H. Masincup

Barbara Ann Hutchens Masincup, 88, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Birch Ridge Senior Living in Staunton. 

Barbara was born on December 21, 1938 in Augusta County to the late Robert Raymond, Sr. and Virginia May Bell Hutchens. 

Barbara was known for her love of crafting and ceramics, often spending hours creating beautiful pieces that brought joy to those around her. She found great pleasure in coloring, a simple yet fulfilling hobby that reflected her artistic spirit. Additionally, Barbara enjoyed bowling and cherished her time at the Moose Lodge, where she made many dear friends. Travel was another joy in her life, with fond memories of her times spent at Myrtle Beach.

Her proudest accomplishment was her 66 years of marriage to her late husband, Charles Richard Masincup. Together, they built a life filled with love and happiness.

Barbara is survived by her two sons, Brad Allen Masincup (Lisa) and Terry Lee Masincup (Sharon). She was a proud grandmother to her granddaughters, Kassie Lynn Masincup and Amber Nicole Masincup Steppe and her grandson, Joshua Simmons. Barbara also leaves behind her half-brothers, Jeffrey Lane Hutchens and Robert Raymond Hutchens, Jr.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, James Earnest and Robert Paul Hutchens.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Thornrose Cemetery with Reverend Lee Thomas and Don Reid officiating.
