Bettie Michael

Bettie Allan (Smith) Michael, 88, wife of Donald F. Michael of 201 Red Oaks Drive, Staunton, VA, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, at her home. Bettie was born in Charleston, WV, on January 25, 1934, a daughter of Herbert and Alease Smith. Bettie attended Stuart Hall in Staunton and William & Mary College. Bettie retired from the Department of Motor Vehicles as District Manager with 37 years of service. She was a member of Loch Willow Presbyterian Church. Bettie enjoyed her family, friends, and entertaining at her home.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 36 years are two sons, George Green of Texas, Geoffrey Green of Richmond, and one granddaughter.

A graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Clay Sterrett at Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 2:00 PM.
