BOBBIE G. MILLIGAN WAYNESBORO, VA Bobbie Gene Mitch Milligan, 88, widower of Anna Wanda Whittington Milligan, of Staunton, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015, in the Avante at Waynesboro. He was born September 15, 1926, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, a son of the late Roy and Marie (Mumey) Milligan. Mr. Milligan was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Fort Smith School System as a painting contractor. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fort Smith. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, was a talented cartoonist and artist, and was an avid fisherman. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy Joseph Milligan; and three sisters, Katherine Sites, Mary Ida Sloan, and Nadine Sloan. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Stephen Faidley of Staunton; a son, Robert David Milligan of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Joy Milligan of Austin, Texas, Clayton Faidley and fiancé`, Rachel Jones of Norman, Oklahoma, and Lauren Faidley and fiancé`, Michael Sano of Durham, North Carolina; and two great grandchildren, Kyle and Zollie. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, P.O. Box 937, Verona, VA 24482.
