Bonnie Elizabeth Meredith

BONNIE E. MEREDITH STAUNTON, VA Bonnie Elizabeth (Poole) Meredith, 96, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at King's Daughters Nursing and Rehab Center with family by her side. She was born January 16, 1918, in Estaline Valley, a daughter of the late Freel J. and Virgie L. (Milton) Poole. Prior to retiring, she worked at Genesco for 31 years. She will always be remembered by wanting to help others. She was an avid outdoor person and always had a beautiful smile. She is survived by her daughter Virgie Wilhoit and husband Clif of Staunton; four grandchildren: Bobby Flint and his wife Pam of Staunton, Patty Snead and her husband Mike of Stuarts Draft, and Jimmy and Angel Poole of Rockbridge Baths; six great grandchildren: Abby and Kory Flint, Harlee and Wyatt Snead and Ethan and Arial Poole; her brother William Poole; a sister Lucy Sensabaugh; and very special friends Kat Ramsey and Pat Bollman. She was preceded in death by her son J.C. Poole, her brothers Carl, Charlie and Roscoe Poole, and a special friend Claude Wade. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2014, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Lay Pastor Ramona Bosserman. The family will receive friends following the service in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Bonnie's memory to Augusta Regional SPCA, 33 Archery Lane, Staunton, VA 24401.
