Bonnie Morris (Humphrey) Thompson, 77, wife of John W. Thompson, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Thompson was born on September 28, 1944 in Harrisonburg to the late Ernest and Gaye (Morris) Humphrey.
Bonnie was a beautician for many years who owned and operated Vanity Fair Beauty Salon.
She was active in many programs at St. Paul’s Church. She loved to read, enjoyed the beauty of birds, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren while watching them grow.
In addition to her husband of 57 years, family includes her only child, Tina Kincaid and her husband, Jeff; a brother, Glenn Humphrey; and three grandchildren, Abigail, Allison, and Boone.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Gary Humphrey; and a sister, Fonda Humphrey.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022 at St. Paul’s Church by Rev. Ryan Oswald. Burial will follow at Thornrose Cemetery.
The family will receive friends anytime at the residence.
Active pallbearers will be Richie O’Rourke, Payton Simmons, Chad Pullin, Wesley Humphrey, George “Skeeter” Plumb, and John Dillon. Honorary pallbearers will be the New Life Sunday School Class and the Board of Ushers of St. Paul’s.
