Branson “Puffy” Lahue Puffenberger, 88, of Staunton, passed away on January 18, 2022.
He was born on November 29, 1933 in Bath County, VA, a son of the late David Max Puffenberger and Mary Rebecca (Puffenbarger) Puffenberger.
Branson retired as a manager from Reids Store with 40 years of service.
He was very active throughout his life and enjoyed archery, golfing, hunting, fishing, and bowling. He was also a volunteer at the Staunton-Augusta Rescue Squad.
He was a longtime member at Bethany Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by a son, David Puffenberger, of Staunton; two daughters, Linda Fleshman (Gary), of Middlebrook, and Barbara Kite, of Roseland; a granddaughter, Kimberly Iverson (Jake Pett) of Fairbanks, Alaska; a great- granddaughter, Leliana Pett; two nieces, Dawn Atkins and Deana Riley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a infant brother, Todd Puffenberger.
A private graveside service will be held on Saturday January 29, 2022.
