Carrie Estelle Wade

Carrie Estelle Reed Wade, 88, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at River Edge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Waynesboro.

She was born on August 8, 1936, in Augusta County, to the late William Hugh and Mariah Virginia Clemmer Reed.

Estelle and her late husband were incredibly devoted to one another.

She is survived by her daughter Amy Adair Wade Moring; her grandchildren, Michael Wade Gerencser and his wife, Rosalie, Megan Moring Trelawney and her husband, Nicholas, and Alex James Moring and his wife, Chelsea; and her great-grandchildren, Keller Scott Moring, Bowen James Moring, Scarlett Delilah Trelawney, Lochlan Rice Trelawney, and Atlas Bay Moring, Layla and Stella Gerencser.

She is also survived by her sister - Amy’s devoted aunt and uncle - Bettie Baber Oberholtzer and her husband, Glen Roy.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James William Wade; her daughters, Dana Gayle Wade Gerencser, and Robyn Elizabeth Wade; and her grandson, Stefan Reed Gerencser.

A private inurnment at Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Churchville will be conducted at a later date.
