Carthon "C.W." Walthall Davis Ii

During the early morning hours of January 17, 2022, C.W. Davis, II went home to the Lord following complications created by COVID-19.

C.W. was born on October 18, 1952, to Carthon "Buddy" Davis and Margaret "Peggy" Moomau Davis of Greenville, VA. His brother, Edward "Eddie" Davis, was born on November 17, 1955. A graduate of Riverheads High School in 1971, C.W. went on to become a skilled maintenance mechanic at Wayne-Tex (later Mohawk) and McKee before retiring in 2014. Following retirement, C.W. worked part-time at the Virginia ABC Store. Among many proud things, C.W., like his father, was a member of the Freemasons. Throughout his life, C.W. made the most of his time by spending it with his loving family, playing golf and other outdoor activities, and being a friend to many.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother. He is survived by April Corbin (daughter), Kimberley (daughter) and Jeremy Shaw, Micah Davis Shaw (grandson), Carthon Walthall Davis, III (son), and Brenda Wymer Davis.

Services will occur 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Greenville United Methodist Church.

The family would like to thank the countless friends for their love, thoughts, and prayers over the years. In addition, they would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Augusta Health and UVA Medical Center for their care and efforts.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or the UVA Health Foundation.
