Charlie Scott Taylor, 11, of Staunton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Augusta Health in Fishersville. He was a bright light in the lives of many.

Born on June 10, 2014, in Fishersville, he leaves behind a storehouse of laughter, love, and cherished memories.

Charlie was a sixth-grade student at Shelburne Middle School in Staunton, where he was known for his kind spirit and good heart.

Charlie was a gentle, joyful, and funny child who radiated warmth and kindness. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hiking and exploring nature. He could often be found playing video games, streaming, and creating his own content, showcasing his creativity.

He is survived by his father, Curtis Scott Taylor; his mother, Courtney Nicole Miller (Matthew Bentel); his brother, Colin Scott Taylor; his paternal grandmother, Norma Husaw; and his maternal grandmother, Hattie Miller; his aunts, Angela Renee Miller, Christina Martin, and Melissa VanHoy; a special cousin, Matthew Spicer; and numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Cabot Alfonzo Miller.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton with the Reverend Tampa Stuart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM.

Interment at Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton will follow.

Henry Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
