Constance “Connie” Myers Quick, previous resident of AVIVA Baldwin Park in Staunton, peacefully passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Connie was born on March 18, 1938, in Staunton, to the late Harlan Booker and Millie Marie Myers.

Connie graduated in 1955 from Robert E. Lee High School in Staunton. She married her high school sweetheart, Jackson Quick, who spent his career working at Planters Bank in Staunton. Many will remember Connie for her dedication to staying active. An avid exerciser, she could often be found riding her bicycle in the early morning - rain or snow. She was also a familiar face at the YMCA and enjoyed returning there after moving back to Staunton during her final years.

Connie shared with her husband a passion for golf, and the two spent many summers at their vacation home in Pinehurst, North Carolina, where they frequently enjoyed playing the area's picturesque and renowned golf courses. Connie also devoted many years to caring for her beloved canine companion, Tammy. Upon retirement, the couple made Pinehurst their permanent home, where Connie continued her commitment to an active lifestyle by adding yoga, swimming, and cycling classes to her regular exercise routine.

The birth of Connie's two grandchildren brought her the greatest joy in life. She loved them unconditionally and was deeply devoted to them, making many trips to California to visit and welcoming them to her home in Pinehurst over the years. Most recently, they were by her side in Staunton to celebrate her eighty-eighth birthday, where she was surrounded by the love of her family and many dear friends.

Connie attended Pleasant View Lutheran Church in Staunton for many years before relocating to Pinehurst. During her time at Pleasant View, she was active in the Luther League alongside her son, Vacation Bible School, and other church ministries. After returning to Staunton, she resumed worshipping with her church family at Pleasant View Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her ardent and faithful sister, Jean Towler of Staunton; her well-loved grandchildren, Jackson Quick, IV and his sister Jessica of Los Angeles, California; and Bret “Pootsie” Ritchie, a lifelong friend of her son who remained faithful to Connie as a “Second Mother”, and cared for her up until the end.

She is also survived by her in-laws and her other extended family in Virginia, Bryan Quick and Ferral Kiser Quick of Bridgewater, Roger Quick and Linda Furrow Quick of Rockingham, Lola Quick Heffner of Verona, and Barbara Quick Perrini and Frank Perrini of Blacksburg

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her dutiful husband, Jackson Eutah Quick, Jr.; and her beloved son, Jackson Eutah Quick, III.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Pleasant View Lutheran Church in Staunton with Reverend David Bacon officiating.

Following the service, family and friends are invited to join the family for light refreshments and a time of fellowship.
