GREENVILLE, VA -
Dale Scott Earhart, 58, husband of Mary K. Earhart, passed away suddenly on Saturday July 16, 2022, as a result of a tragic accident.
He was born on February 9, 1964 in Staunton, a son of the late, Edward T. and Mary Margaret (Weeks) Earhart.
Dale was a 1982 graduate of Riverheads High School and an avid Riverheads sports fan. He was well known for his carpentry skills and for being a “slumlord.” Dale was a devoted and active member of Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed helping the Spottswood-Raphine Ruritan club and the Raphine Fire Department with various events.
In addition to his wife of 27 years, he is survived by a daughter, Josephine “Josie” Anne Earhart; his siblings: Karen Bradley of Columbia City, IN; Eric and Debbie Earhart of Greenville, VA; Alan and Kerri Earhart of Broadway, VA; his in-laws: Robert and Betsy George; a sister-in-law, Doris and Charlie Gardner; a brother-in-law, Bumper and Tina George; sister-in-law, Barbara and Jonathan Senger; nieces and nephews: Kaitlyn and Michael Sproles, Clay Earhart and Tammy Rowe, Sam and Brittany Earhart, Chapman and Kendall Earhart, Maggie and Devon Dransfield, Erin Earhart, Jacob and Emma Earhart, Jesse Earhart, Brooke and Chase Wine, Sarah and Bryce Harlow, Kathryn Gardner, Robert, Erin, and Joe George, Rose, Pearl, James, Mary Sue, Paul, John, Andrew, Ruby, and Violet Senger; a grand nephew, Bradley and two grand nieces, Maelyn and Sadie; two aunts, Doris Wilson and Betty Weeks, numerous cousins and many special friends.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Sarah L. Hill. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. at Henry Funeral Home.
