Daniel Falwell Harris, 95, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at The Legacy of North Augusta in Staunton.

He was born on November 25, 1928, in Covington to the late Earl Edward and Myrtle Virginia Queen Harris.

Daniel proudly served in the United States Army, demonstrating his commitment to his country. After serving in the army, he embarked on a career as a financial analyst for Westinghouse, McQuay and Snyder General. Outside of his professional life Daniel was an avid golfer. He spent countless hours on the greens with Ingleside being one of his favorite places to play. Daniel was an active member of Elliott’s Knob Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 680 where he built many lasting relationships and contributed to his community.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberlee Harris Ramsey and her husband, Daniel W. Ramsey; and his granddaughter, Allison Grace Ramsey.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Ellen “Mickey” Daugherty Harris; his brothers, Earl Edward and Frank Webster Harris and his sisters, Laura Virginia Harris Knuckalls and Margaret Ann Harris Conner.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Thornrose Cemetery with Pastor John Craft officiating.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the graveside at Henry Funeral Home.
