Dennis J. Robertson

Dennis James Robertson, 79, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Augusta Health Shenandoah House in Fishersville.

He was born on February 12, 1947, in Millboro, Virginia, to the late Carl Ruffice and Martha Jane Hicks Robertson.

Dennis was a hardworking man who genuinely enjoyed people and the friendships he made throughout his life.

For more than twenty years, he worked as a tour bus driver for Quicks Buses where he retired from.

Following his retirement from driving a tour bus, Dennis continued to stay active by delivering parts for Fisher Auto Parts. The job suited him well, as it allowed him to get out each day, see familiar faces, and meet new people.

Away from work, Dennis had a special fondness for John Deere lawn mowers and Wheel Horse tractors. He also enjoyed racing and could often be found following the sport in his spare time.

One of the most important parts of Dennis’ life was his family. He and his wife, Phyllis, were married on December 22, 1967, beginning a marriage that spanned nearly six decades.

He is survived by his daughters, Rita Nelson and her husband Tony, and Crystal Robertson; and his sisters, Dorothy J. Drumheller and her husband Glenn, and Annie R. Harlow.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Catherine Sandy Robertson.

Services will be private.

The family welcomes friends to visit with them at Dennis’ home, located at 1352 Jerusalem Chapel Road, Churchville, Virginia 24421.
