Donald William Clark, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

He was born on January 8, 1946, in Daytona Beach, Florida to the late Hurley Austin and Sara Bittle Clark.

Donald attended Middlebrook Elementary and Riverheads High School. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force, where he served as a mechanic.

Following his military service, he worked as a mechanic for Staunton Tractor and later at Augusta Co-op Farm Bureau, where he dedicated many years until his retirement. Even after retiring, he continued to lend his talents by repairing and maintaining farm equipment at his own shop.

A devoted member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church in Middlebrook, he gave generously of his time. He faithfully cared for the church, ensuring the building was warm and ready for every Sunday service.

Family was at the heart of his life. Each year, his loved ones looked forward to the family reunion, where his cooking was a highlight and a tradition that brought everyone together.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Schooley and her husband, Mike of Staunton; his brother, Kyle Clark and his wife, Lonnie of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant sister, his sister, Nancy Turner; and his brother, Joel Clark.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery in Staunton.

A memorial service will immediately follow at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church in Staunton with Reverend Lance Braun officiating.

Following the memorial service light refreshments will be served in the church fellowship hall.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charles and David Schooley, R.G, Heizer, Steve Root, Roger Swartz, and Jeff Shuey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Hanger, Milton Grady, Bill Bowman, and Joe Vecchioli.

Henry Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
