Doris L. Lynch

Doris Dean Lyons Lynch, 77, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at her residence in Deerfield.

She was born on July 29, 1949, in Staunton, to the late Clarence Theodore and Frances Virginia Hipe Lyons.

Doris was a devoted wife and mother whose greatest joy came from her family. She especially treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren, who brought great joy and happiness to her life.

Throughout her career, Doris served as the office manager for Dr. Darryl Pearlman, DDS, in Louisa, Virginia, where she took great pride in her work.

Doris also had a special place in her heart for her loyal companions, Jack and Sassy, who brought her much happiness and companionship. Above all, she will be remembered for the love she shared with her husband, children, and grandchildren and for the devotion she showed to her family throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband, John Arthur Lynch; her daughter, Stephanie Dean Campbell and her husband, Allen; her daughter-in-law, Tori Braley; her stepson, Joshua Lynch and his wife, Andrea; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Dean Wegner and her husband, Kenny, Gracie Ames Campbell; Robby Dodson and his wife, Katelyn; her step-grandsons, John R. Lynch and Josh Layton Lynch; her great-granddaughter, Reagan Dodson; her brother, Jerry Theodore Lyons; and numerous other beloved family members.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Mark Robertson Braley; and half-brothers, Larry Thomas and William Leslie Lyons.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion shown to Doris throughout her journey, as well as for the comfort and support they so graciously extended to her family.

A Celebration of Life honoring Doris will be held from 12:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the home of her daughter, Stephanie Campbell, located at 1544 New Hope Road, Staunton, Virginia 24401. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Doris’ life.
