Dorothy T. Hawley

Dorothy Marie Tanner Hawley, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

She was born on December 13, 1956, in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Homer Franklin and Lillian Mae Sandridge Tanner.

She is survived by her sons, Christopher Lee Hawley and his wife, Ashlyn, Aaron Lee Hawley, and Chad Hawley and his wife, Stephanie; her daughter, Brittany Hawley Johnson; her grandchildren, Nathaniel, Averi, Lance, Kaelyn, Braedyn, Jaylynn, and Destiny; as well as Frances Hailey, who has been a loyal and cherished friend.

In addition to her loving parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Marie Hawley; a granddaughter, Alyssa Grepps; and her brothers, Robert Lee, Franklin Brooks, Henry John, and Paul McKinley Tanner.
