Eva Magdalene (Nutty) Furr, 104, passed away on October 6, 2021 at Shenandoah Nursing & Rehab.
She was born on February 5, 1917 in Stingy Hollow to the late John Wallace Nutty and Ida Florence (Swortzel) Nutty.
Ms. Furr worked part-time at Woolworths.
She is survived by her son, Elwood C. Furr (Becky); her daughters, Shirley Lafon (James), Nancy Talley, and Judy Ashby; 11 grandchildren, Terry Lafon (Kara), Kirk Lafon (Kristan), Tamara Talley-Campbell (Steve), Tim Talley (Renee), Robyn Jarvis, Brent Ashby (Karen), Starla Tuennermann (Jeff), Nikki Carter (Brian), Sonya Terrell (Bryon), Matthew Furr, and Brian Law (Caroline); two step grandchildren, Teresa Roller (Ken), and Jeff Huntley; 16 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; and her two nieces, Cheri Lynn Nutty and Paulette Furr. Mrs. Furr had 7 sets of 5 generations.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Gary L. Furr and Robert “Bob” Furr; her daughter, Linda K. Law; her brothers and sister-in-law, Robert Nutty and Fay and Beverley Nutty; her sisters, Edith Nutty and Dorothy Nutty; her great granddaughter, MaDee Nicole Boxler, two sons-in-law, G. C. Ashby and Carl Talley; and her nephew Butch Nutty. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Augusta Memorial Park by the Rev. James A. Bollinger and Rev. Kirk Lafon. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.
