Evelyn V. Hostetter
Evelyn Mae (Via) Hostetter, 89, widow of James Woodrow Hostetter, passed away on February 27, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Hostetter was born on January 21, 1934 in Craigsville to the late Robert Lee Via, Sr. and Elsie Evelyn (Johnson) Via.
She retired from Social Security Administration as a claims administrator.
Evelyn is survived by her children, James W. Hostetter, Jr. (Cindy), Sue Hostetter Cross (William), Jeffery “Marty” Martin Hostetter, and Diana Lynn Hostetter; three brothers, Robert Lee Via, Jr. (Geraldine); Louis Via (Patsy) and Walter Via (Judy); three sisters, Doris Carter, Betty Kelso (John) and Linda Smith (Winston); seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Rae Ward.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, March 6, 2023 at Augusta Memorial Park by Pastor Bob Johnson.
