Evelyn Lyle (Grant) LaPorte, 92, wife of Kenneth C. LaPorte, passed away on September 16, 2021 at her residence.
She was born on October 16, 1928 to the late Willie Tucker and Evangline Myrtle (Campbell) Grant.
Evelyn was a long-standing member of Bethel Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Kenneth C. LaPorte; her son and daughter-in-law, KC and Cheri LaPorte; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Anita LaPorte; her five grandchildren, Kacey and Andy Bunch, Megan and Aaron Jaggers, Josh and Loren LaPorte, Gabby LaPorte, and Jackson LaPorte; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Edna G. Fauber, William Kenton Grant, and Homer Massie Grant.
Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jollivue Barterbrook Ruritan Club or the American Cancer Society.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Legacy Hospice and Visiting Angels.
