FRANK R. SCHILLING, JR. STAUNTON, VA Frank R. Schilling, Jr., of 422 College Circle died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Lovingston Health and Rehab Center in Lovingston, Virginia. Mr. Schilling was born August 15, 1948, the only child of Frank Robert Schilling and Mildred Gilman Schilling. He is survived by a cousin, Beverley Proffitt of Richmond, Virginia, and by long time helper and friend, Dorothy "Dolly" Varner of Staunton, Virginia. He attended Robert E. Lee High School and graduated with a B.A. in history from Virginia Commonwealth University. He was employed for many years a teacher and librarian in the Staunton City Schools until he retired in 1995. Mr. Schilling was a valued member of the First Presbyterian Church in Staunton, Virginia. He served as Trustee of the Church from 1997-1999. He also served as church historian and church librarian for many years, pursuing his lifelong love for history and books. A memorial service to celebrate his life and his service to community and church is scheduled for Sunday, March 11 at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Staunton. Burial will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Henry Funeral Home.
