Garland C. Sheets

Garland Crawford Sheets, 96, husband of Eunice (Rawley) Sheets, went to be with his Lord, on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Brightview.

Mr. Sheets was born on December 24, 1924, in Mt. Sidney, a son of the late Mohler P. and Mary Louise Brown Sheets.

Prior to retirement, Mr. Sheets was a bookkeeper at Holsinger Lumber Company. He was a member of Parkway Wesleyan Church.

He is preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

In addition to his wife of 72 years, he is survived by two sons, Darrell Sheets (Trudy) of Staunton and Larry Sheets of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Nancy Craun of Springhill; grandchildren, Sabrina and Tom Peters, Tori Sheets and husband, Chris Vincent, Lauren and Mike Jarrell and Gavin Crawford Sheets; great grandchildren, Avery, Parker, Jackson, Sydney, McKinley and Madelyn.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by Rev. Russell Heinrich. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Henry Funeral Home.
