Gary W. Bayne

Gary Wayne Bayne, 62, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at his residence in Staunton.

He was born on November 10, 1962, in Staunton to the late James Lee and Mary Ellen Adkins Bayne.

He worked for fifteen years in maintenance at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel in Staunton.

Gary was a dedicated son who took remarkable care of his parents, particularly his mother. His devotion to family was evident in the love and support he provided.

In addition to caring for his family, Gary was an exceptional friend and brother. He shared a special bond with his dear friend Bobbie, often lending her a hand with yard work and errands, which highlighted his generous nature.

In addition to his caring nature, Gary had a fondness for yard work, a reflection of his love for life's simple pleasures. Friends and family will remember him as a super fun guy, always ready to share laughter with others.

He is survived by his brother, James Allen Bayne; and his sisters, Opie, Sue, and Joann Bayne.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Bayne.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton.
