George Walton Weller, 92, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Staunton Post Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Staunton.

He was born on April 10, 1933, in Augusta County to the late Walton Milton and Carrie Virginia Aldhizer Weller.

George was a respected electrician, working with companies such as Riddleberger, Broadway Electric, and later as a contractor with McQuay.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, George proudly served in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he remained devoted to his community and faith serving as a lifetime member of Christ United Methodist Church.

George's commitment to service extended beyond the church. He was a charter member of the Verona Volunteer Fire Department, where he devoted over sixty years to ensuring the safety and well-being of his community. Furthermore, he was an active member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his son, Perry W. Weller and his wife, Crystal, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph “Tom” and Gene Weller.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Fort Defiance with Reverend Brett Isernhagen officiating.
